family portrait.
Baby Girl,
Your big brother, Kaleb, finally got to meet you last week.
Here is photographic evidence that he is excited to be your brother- no matter what he may say in the years to come.
This is the first time since you were born that your whole family has been able to be together... what a special treat.
You DID end up having Lasik surgery this past week. You have been doing very well overall, but the doctors really want your oxygen intake to be less and more stable before you go home. So, let's get to work on that, ok?!
You weigh over 6 pounds now. You are a champ.
We love you and can't wait to be with you in just over a month.

It's all relative
Baby Girl Brown,
These last few weeks have brought incredible progress your way in addition to a few wonderful miracles!
Here is just a sampling of your greatness...
* you are now over 5 pounds!
* you are nursing!
* you are in a crib!
* you are only requiring nose canulas!
And here is one of the big miracles...
Your doctor said that you were going to need surgery on a blood vessel in your eye (correct me if I am wrong here, Jeanette) that had been damaged as a result of your long term need for the ventilators. You were prepped for surgery and everything, but the doctors did not end up having time to perform your procedure. Every step of the way, your family trusted the doctors but had huge concerns that as a result of the stress on your body, you would go back to needing full ventilation which could in turn produce more of the same issues that you would be going in to surgery for. Well, obviously those concerns were heard and a little miracle ensued. It is four days later and the doctors are no longer assuming that you need the surgery. What a little reminder of God you are!
These miracles have been following you and our whole family since the day you were born. Thank you.
Now, on to the fun stuff.
Here is the greatest miracle of all!
You are now the spitting image of your adorable big brother!!!!
Look... see for yourself!

We have made a date.
Baby girl,
Your momma... with the help of your Nana and all of your aunts... has decided that you are going to be blessed on May 3rd.
That means a couple of things.
Since your due date was February 25th, you should be home and well by May. But that means that you are going to have to work hard for the next month or so to prove that you are ready to get out of that little box you are in.
That also means that I get to see you again AND that you get to meet your cousins and your Uncle Nate and your Aunt JoJo.
Please don't steal her from us. We like her living with us.
Nate...He is pretty cool.
Your cousins are pretty cool, too.
I... am pretty tolerable myself!
I am sending you and your momma and daddy and brother some special prayers this week.
Cause I for one, am excited to hear that you are ready to come home.
As always,
You are loved.
Truly, madly, deeply,
Aunt Jennifer
